Record-setting donation of $3,802,610 for charitable organizations in central Ohio announced for 2024 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship

Columbus, Ohio – Tournament Officials announced today that the 18th playing of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, concluded September 22, 2024, at The Ohio State University Golf Club – Scarlet Course, raised a record total $3,802,610 for central Ohio charitable organizations, including $3,607,590 for pediatric cancer research and treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This marks the fourth year in a row the Korn Ferry Tour Finals event has exceeded the $3 million mark. Since its inception in 2007, the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship has donated nearly $30 million in support of the hospital’s pediatric cancer program.

“The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship continues to reach impressive fundraising heights each year, truly setting the bar as a best-in-class Korn Ferry Tour Finals event,” said John Carter, president and chief operating officer for Nationwide Financial and chairman of Champions of the Community, the host organization for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship. “We’re incredibly grateful for the steadfast support of our business partners, the commitment of our tournament staff and volunteers, and the willingness of our Patient Champions to share their stories.” 

“The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship has helped provide hope to children with cancer and their loved ones for 18 years, with nearly $30 million donated to support innovative research and care,” said Tim Robinson, chief executive officer of Nationwide Children’s. “We are grateful for the dedication of the tournament’s sponsors, volunteers and supporters for helping make our work possible.”

The 2025 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship will be contested the week of September 15-21, at The Ohio State University Golf Club – Scarlet Course and will be the second of four Korn Ferry Tour Finals events.
