Record-setting charitable donation of $2,305,854 announced for 2019 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship

Columbus, Ohio – Tournament officials announced today that the 13th playing of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, concluded August 18, 2019, at The Ohio State University Golf Club – Scarlet Course, raised a total of $2,437,194 for central Ohio charitable organizations, including $2,305,854 for pediatric cancer research and treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The total marks the largest single-season charitable donation raised for the hospital in the 13-year history of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals event and the third consecutive time the $2 million mark has been exceeded. Since its inception in 2007 the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship has donated a total of nearly $13.8 million in support of the hospital’s pediatric cancer program.

Scottie Scheffler wins by two for second Korn Ferry Tour title

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Dallas native Scottie Scheffler won the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship after posting a final-round 4-under 67 to claim the title at 12-under 272. A trio of players including Brendon Todd, Beau Hossler and Ben Taylor finished two strokes back at 10-under 274. Defending champion Robert Streb and third round co-leader Brandon Hagy finished tied for fifth at 9-under 275.

Kevin Dougherty takes 36-hole lead at 8-under-par

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A former Oklahoma State University golfer sits atop the leaderboard at the halfway point of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, but it may not be the cowboy everyone expected. Kevin Dougherty fired a second-round 5-under 66 to take the 36-hole lead at 134 (-8). Brandon Hagy sits alone in second, one stroke back after a final-hole birdie for a 4-under 67. Third at 6-under 136 is Brendon Todd, who shot a 7-under 64, the low round of the day.
