COLUMBUS, Ohio. – Tournament officials announced today the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship will celebrate its 20th playing September 17-20, 2026 at The Ohio State University Golf Club – Scarlet Course, marking two decades of Korn Ferry Tour competition in Columbus and a longstanding partnership supporting Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
The 20th playing will also mark the 20th consecutive year that Nationwide has served as a founding partner and that The Ohio State University - Scarlet Course has hosted the event. Since the tournament’s inception in 2007, nearly $33 million has been raised in support of Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s pediatric cancer program.
In additional news, tournament officials unveiled a commemorative 20th playing logo for the 2026 tournament, recognizing the tournament’s history and the partnerships that have supported its growth over the past two decades.
“The 20th playing is an opportunity to recognize the people that have contributed to the success of this tournament over the past two decades,” said Kip Eriksen, Executive Director. “From our partnership with Nationwide and Nationwide Children’s Hospital to the continued support of The Ohio State University Golf Club, our corporate partners, volunteers and fans, this event has remained focused on providing a stage for the future stars of the PGA TOUR while generating meaningful support for the Central Ohio community.”
The tournament’s partnership structure was recognized by the Korn Ferry Tour in December 2025 when the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship received the Tour's Tournament of the Year Award. In announcing the award, Korn Ferry Tour officials cited the longstanding relationship among the host organization, Nationwide and The Ohio State University Golf Club – one of the longest partnerships on Tour – along with the tournament's charitable impact and player, partner and fan experience.
The tournament’s history is also defined by the level of golfers who have competed on the Scarlet Course over the years, with past winners continuing to achieve significant success across professional golf.
The 19 past champions of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship have combined for 33 Korn Ferry Tour victories and 50 PGA TOUR victories, including 21 PGA TOUR wins by Scottie Scheffler and 16 from Justin Thomas.
Past champions include Thomas (2014), Scheffler (2019), Harris English (2011), Robert Streb (2018), Grayson Murray (2016), Adam Svensson (2021) and David Lingmerth (2022).
The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship will play a pivotal role in determining who will earn PGA TOUR membership. The top-20 players in the season-long standings at the end of the 2026 campaign will earn PGA TOUR membership for the 2027 season. The 132-player field for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship will compete over 72 holes of stroke play, with a cut to the top 65 players and ties after 36 holes. Golf Channel will broadcast tournament coverage from Thursday’s opening round to the trophy presentation on Sunday.
