Columbus, Ohio – Tournament officials announced today that volunteer registration for the 18th annual Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship is now open to the public at www.ncc-golf/volunteers.
The 2024 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship will be held September 16-22, 2024 at The Ohio State University Golf Club – Scarlet Course and will be the third of four stops in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
“We are extremely excited to open volunteer registration and to continue working with this very dedicated group of volunteers, new and returning, who are the heartbeat of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship,” tournament director Kip McBride said. “Our volunteers play an essential role in every aspect of the tournament and are vital to our goal of raising charitable donations for pediatric cancer research and treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Their efforts helped raise record-setting $3,307,331 last year alone for Nationwide Children’s, and more than $25.6 million since the tournament’s inception in 2007.”
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available to choose from during registration. A description of each area is available at www.ncc-golf.com/volunteer.
All volunteers receive a uniform that consists of a golf shirt and cap. Volunteers receive breakfast and lunch for each day they work. To cover the cost of the uniform, volunteers are charged a fee of $45. These contributions represent an additional way volunteers help maximize the charitable donations the tournament provides to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship will continue to play a pivotal role in determining who will earn PGA TOUR membership. The top-30 players in the season-long standings at the end of the 2024 campaign will earn PGA TOUR membership for the 2025 season.
The field for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship will compete over 72 holes of stroke play, with a cut to the top-65 players and ties after 36 holes. Golf Channel will broadcast tournament coverage from Thursday’s opening round to the trophy presentation on Sunday in high definition.
Admissions into the 2024 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship is FREE.
