COLUMBUS, Ohio – With a one-stroke victory Sunday at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, Sandy Scott earned his first Korn Ferry Tour title and rose to No. 2 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List, becoming the seventh player declared TourBound and assured PGA Tour membership for the 2027 season.
Scott followed Ross Steelman, Doc Redman, Ian Holt, Alistair Docherty, Alvaro Ortiz and Cole Sherwood as the seventh player to be declared TourBound. Scott entered the week No. 13 on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List and closed in 6-under 65 on the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University Golf Club, totaling 18-under 266 to break the 72-hole tournament scoring record.
A native of Inverness, Scotland, Scott will officially receive his PGA Tour card at the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia’s Richmond Region, scheduled for Oct. 8-11 at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia.
Scott, a second-year Korn Ferry Tour member, finished No. 55 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List as a rookie to retain full status for the 2026 season. Scott earned Korn Ferry Tour membership for the first time with a No. 8 finish on the 2024 PGA Tour Americas Points List, accomplishing the feat off the strength of a runner-up finish at the season-ending Fortinet Cup Championship.
Prior to turning professional, Scott played six seasons at Texas Tech University (2016-22), where he earned two individual victories.
Scott’s lone PGA Tour start to date came at the 2020 U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club, where he qualified for the tournament as the No. 6 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Season will continue at the Compliance Solutions Championship (Oct. 1-4), the third of four season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Finals events.
